Joining Yale Superfund Research Center (YSRC) - P42, NIEHS

September 1, 2022
The newly founded Yale Superfund Research Center (YSRC) is part of the P42 project funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). YSRC focuses on a contaminant known as 1,4-Dioxane (1,4-DX), a commonly occurring possible human carcinogen in Superfund sites. The research overarches the health effects of 1,4-Dioxane and methods to detect and remove 1, 4-Dioxane in water bodies.

Fortner group will participate in developing advanced oxidation processes (AOP) for mitigating 1,4-Dioxane.

Detailed information can be found on Yale Superfund Research Center website.
