Biography: 

Makena Senzon (’28) is a chemical engineering major passionate about green engineering, sustainable design, and scientific communication. She is originally from Jupiter, Florida, and in the Fortner Lab she is researching how point-of-use ceramic filters can be used to filter and fortify drinking water. When she is not studying or writing about science she may be tending to a garden, thinking about her next outdoor adventure, or reading books across genres.
