Panorea is a rising sophomore at the University of Colorado Boulder’s School of Engineering, majoring in Environmental Engineering with a certificate in public health. She is deeply passionate about environmental remediation, including water treatment, and addressing serious environmental destruction to the planet. Her past area of interest and research focused on filtration mechanisms and the use of environmentally friendly detergents to mitigate the negative effects of greywater on the environment. Currently, Panorea is an intern in the Fortner lab, working on PFAS removal and adsorption experiments with Lydia Watt, a Ph.D. student in the lab. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, going to the beach, and playing sports.
